THE POWER OF TRANSITION

Use these question types to guide the conversation and uncover what your customer truly needs.

Transitioning smoothly between questions builds trust, uncovers needs, and leads customers toward the right solution — whether that's an email, website, or domain.

Open-Ended Questions

Invite the customer to share freely — no yes/no answers. These open the conversation.

  • "Tell me, what kind of online presence are you looking to build for your business?"
  • "What does your ideal website look like — what would you want customers to see first?"
  • "How are you currently handling your business email, and what's been working or not working for you?"
Close-Ended Questions

Get specific, direct answers. Use these to confirm facts and narrow down options.

  • "Do you currently have a domain name registered for your business?"
  • "Are you looking for a professional email address that matches your domain?"
  • "Is your website currently live, or are you starting from scratch?"
Confirming Questions

Repeat back what you heard to show you understand and build trust.

  • "So just to confirm — you're looking for a domain, a matching business email, and a simple website to get started, correct?"
  • "I want to make sure I have this right — you'd like your email to match your website address, is that right?"
  • "You mentioned you need the website up as soon as possible — so speed and ease of setup are the priority, yes?"
Yes Questions

Lead the customer to agree with small, easy "yes" responses — builds momentum toward a decision.

  • "Having a professional website would make it easier for customers to find you online, wouldn't it?"
  • "A business email with your own domain name looks more credible than a Gmail address, don't you agree?"
  • "If I could show you a solution that covers your domain, email, and website all in one place — that would make things a lot simpler, right?"
